To the surprise of many, Beyond Fallen is Mike's first and only band. He spent years sharpening his skills and developing his style until he felt the time was right. For the past two years as Beyond Fallen's lead guitarist he's been getting outstanding praise from fans, press, and fellow musicians about his playing. Mike's solos are ripping, and his riffs absolutley ferocious. He's a main contributor to the band's songwriting, and his diverse playing approach ranges from melodic - to the harshest, meanest, most brutal metal you have ever heard.

How I first got into metal and guitar in general:
When I was 13 or so, one of my friends had a tape and
told me to check this music out. He first
played "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying" by Megadeth
and "Frayed Ends of Sanity" by Metallica. I was
totally blown away! I thought to myself, "I HAVE to
learn how to play guitar!!!" The first REAL metal
album I bought was Ride the Lighting by Metallica.
After hearing that, I was determined to learn how to
play guitar. About a year or so later, my parents
bought me my first guitar and amp for Christmas and
I've been playing ever since.
Influences:
John Petrucci(Dream Theater), Dave Mustaine(Megadeth),
Joe Satriani, Eddie Van Halen, Adrian Smith(Iron
Maiden), Randy Rhoads(RIP), James Hetfield(Metallica),
Alex Lifeson(Rush), George Lynch(Dokken & Lynch Mob).
Other interests beside music:
NFL Football (Detroit Lions), fishing, electronics,
working out.
